As from 11th April 2023 Warrina Medical Centre will change to a mixed billing practice.

To allow us to continue to provide quality healthcare we are changing the way we bill our patients.
Medicare rebates no longer cover the rising costs to continue providing you and your family with good quality healthcare.

• Out of pocket fees will apply.
• Payment on the day of consult will be required

Claims can be sent by us to medicare rebate appears in your account in 24/48 hours.

Weekday appointments from 9am to 5pm

•New patients -Kids under 16  Bulk Billed

•New patients With a concession card will be charged $99

•New Patients - Anyone over 16 and without a concession card will be charged $124

Existing patients: Weekday appointments from 9am to 5pm are now privately billed.

•Kids under 16 and concession card holders will be charged Bulk Billed .
•Anyone over 16 years old $89.


Payment on the day of consultation will be required.

Phone consults are now privately billed.

-Over 16 yrs old $89 (rebate not available)
-Under 16 yrs old $69 (rebate not available)

Missed Appointments:
A fee of $40.00 will be charged to patients who do not attend or DO NOT CANCEL their appointment. A missed appointment means that other patients are denied the opportunity of an appointment.

Why we can't bulk-bill everyone
 

The medicare rebate, your rebate, only covers a small portion of the costs of providing high-quality healthcare. We are not subsidised by State or Federal Government. We are a locally owned small buisness, like many other general practices. 
With Medicare rebates not increasing and general practices receiving lower rate for bulk billing, add to that the rising costs of running a 
practice, we can no longer absorb these costs and maintain quailty care.

Bulk billing will remain available for the following services for active registered patients only:

• Care Plans.
• Health Assessments.
• Mental Health Care Plans.
• Current Age Pension Card.
• Veteran Affairs.
