Billing Policy

We are a Mixed billing Practice

Adult Private Patient (with no concession) - full private fee payable on the day of consult.
Fee schedule available via telephone or at the practice

• Standard consult  $85.00- Medicare rebate of $41.20
• Long consult        $ 170.00- Medicare rebate of $93.00

 

Weekday appointments from 8am to 10am would be privately billed. 

• Kids under 16 and concession card holders will be charged $85.
• New patients- Kids under 16 and concession card holders will be charged $95
• Anyone over 16 and without a concession card will be charged $95.
• New Patients - Anyone over 16 and without a concession card will be charged $140

 

From the 1st of November 2023 Bulk Billing for :

• Kids under 16 for appointments from 10am to 5pm.
• Everyone with a valid and up-to-date: Health Care Card Holders, Pension Card Holders and DVA Card Holders, for appointments from 10am to 5pm.

 

Phone consults are now privately billed

• 16 and over $85 (rebate not available)
• Under 16 $65 (rebate not available)

 

Missed Appointments:

A fee of $40.00 will be charged to patients who do not attend or DO NOT CANCEL their appointment. A missed appointment means that other patients are denied the opportunity of an appointment.

 

Claims are sent to Medicare electronically.

New patient registration:

• New patient registration 16 years old and over costs $120.00 Medicare rebate $41.20
• New Patients under 16 and patients with a valid and up-to-date Health Care Card, Pension Card and DVA Card will be bulk billed, for appointments from 10am to 5pm 

Conditions apply:

1. Cards must not be expired and must be produced at the time of billing. Private fees will apply if concession cards are not valid

Consultations which attract an additional private fee are as follows:

• Reciprocal Medicare Card Holders or patients who are not registered or do not have a current Medicare Card
• Standard & Commercial Drivers Licence
• Medical Assessments
• Medical Assessments Medicals for other purposes ie General, Insurance, Legal & Pre-employment
• Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle claims where a claim number and letter of acceptance of claim by the insurance company cannot be produced at the time of consultation
• Dressings, Minor Procedures, implanon removal and insertion, ECG, Spirometry, Ear Syringe, Immunisations/Injections

We do not give accounts and FULL payments are requested on the day of consult.

Payment may be made by CASH, EFTPOS, MASTERCARD, VISA and online through Hotdoc. Cheques are not accepted.
